Sir Sunder lal Hospital, B.H.U. Varanasi
Established in 1926 with 96 beds, Sir Sunderlal Hospital of B.H.U—one of the oldest and biggest universities in India, has grown into 1200-bedded hospital with all modern medical, surgical and investigative amenities. So much so that it has the repute equivalent to AIIMS for people living in adjoining areas. People from Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, even Nepal come to this hospital for treatment. It is the only Tertiary Care Hospital in the North-Eastern U.P, which caters to more than 10 crore population. It is primarily a teaching and training hospital attached to the Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U.
